A super 1950's Pygmalion Sphere powder compact.  This delightful spherical compact has a pretty engine turned decoration with bands of flowers either side of the opening.  The push button catch opens to reveal a mirror in the lid and a powder well with the original sifter present. The powder well is marked 'Pygmalion No 1950, Made in England, Patent Pending'.

The mirror has a few minor losses around the edge and some lines running down the centre but these are only visible in certain lights and it is clear and useable. The pouch is showing signs of age with considerable surface marks.  The catch opens well and closes with a firm click.
