Art Deco French Micro Beaded Bag

A superb and very large Art Deco microbeaded bag made in France.  This wonderful bag has a light blue beaded body which is accented with a gold and silver design and stylised fuschia flowers with green leaves.  The bag has a gold tone frame which opens and closes with a kissing clasp and a thin gold tone chain handle.  The bottom of the bag has light blue and gold tassles which hang beautifully and provide a fluidity of movement typical of the Art Deco period.  Inside the bag is lined with silk, has a small 'Made in France' tag and an open pocket.  This is a beautifully made micro beaded bag and is unusually large.  The length of the bag including the chain is 44 cm.  Dimensions are approximate.

The outside of the bag is in superb condition and the beading is bright and sparkles in the light.  The frame and chain handle are in excellent condition.  The tassles in good condition but one to the left hand edge is missing. Internally the silk lining has degraded and split at the top near the frame and come apart completely at the bottom.
