A fabulous and unusual hallmarked silver combination powder compact with integral lipstick holder. This wonderful compact has a very Art Deco look to it. It is wedge shaped with clean lines and is fully hallmarked with hallmarks on every component. It was made by Dyas, Beverley and Hampton, London, 1952. The lid opens to reveal a full length mirror in the lid and a deep powder well with the original sifter still present. To the back of the compact there is an integral lipstick holder which is empty.
This is a wonderfully tactile compact and is in excellent condition throughout. There are some light surface scratches commensurate with age and use. The sifter is present but has been used. The mirror is in excellent condition with no silvering. The lipstick holder sits firmly in its place but is smooth to remove and works well. A truly individual design.
