Stunning silver and guilloche enamel powder compact.  This fabulous powder compact has a white guilloche lid which is surrounded by a vibrant cherry red circle and a has a contrasting check guilloche design centre panel with a cherry red 'Scottish lion rampant' design in the centre of the panel. It is fully hallmarked for Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham, 1947.  Inside the lid is the mirror.  On the outer rid of the powder well there is an inscription which reads on the left of the clasp 'Majority 6727' and on the right of the clasp '2nd May 1950'. 

This unusual compact is in excellent condition.  There are some light surface scratches.  The guilloche is in excellent condition - there is a tiny area that is slightly darker to the outside edge to the left of the clasp.  Inside the mirror is clear and in excellent condition.  The inside rim of the lid has a small scratch to the silver.  The clasp closes well and is firm to open.
