A beautiful enamel and cloisonne box. European circa 1960's. White metal tested as silver. This pretty lidded box comes in its original box. The body features enameled birds, flowers and foliage whereas the top is a pale blue with two butterflies/moths - one is shades of brown, the other has multiple colours including orange, yellow, red and blue. It opens to reveal that the base has been lined. There is a flower to the base of the box in vivid blue enamel. It comes in its original box which is in excellent condition, the base lined in pink fabric and the top lined in deep blue silk. It has a brass clasp
Condition - the box is in excellent condition. There are some tiny enamel losses which only show when examined with a loupe. The flower on the base of the box has a small piece of enamel missing. The cloisonne top has a thin area of lighter cloisonne to the back of the lid near the hinge. The hinge is slightly off on one side. Please examine the pictures for further information.
