A lovely 1950's Pygmalion Sonata powder compact. This delightful novelty powder compact was Made in England and comes in the form of a grand piano. The feet fold down so that it can be carried or put up so that it may sit on a dressing table for display. The lid opens to reveal a powder well which comes with the original sifter.
This compact has been engraved 'Mum' in a small cartouche on the lid.
The compact is in great condition with a few spots of tarnish. The mirror has areas of silvering and looks to have been restuck at some point in the past but is useable.
