A beautiful silver heart sums up this lovely Kigu, England powder compact.  This compact is a 'Cherie' known for being a love token and is fully hallmarked with KLD for Kigu and was assayed in London 1951. It has a small cartouche where an inscription or initials could be engraved.  It comes with its original black fabric pouch.

The compact is in excellent condition with some surface scratches.  It has more scratches on the inside lid where it looks as if someone has tried to clean it using the wrong material.  The mirror has a few tiny black dots but is perfect to use with no fogging.  The powder well is in good condition but comes with no puff or sifter.  The clasp works well and shuts with a firm click.
