Georgian Purse

A simply stunning Georgian gilt metal and knitted wool purse.  This is the most wonderful purse comprising gilt bead enhanched metal bars and ring fastening with a chain attaching the two.  The knitted body is in gold thread and decorated with silver, gold and black beadwork.  There is a central design to the knitted lower part of the purse with an arrow detail in black or blue beading.  There is a drop bead to the bottom of the purse.  All dimensions are approximate.

The purse is in incredible condition with only one bead to the bottom of the purse missing.  Please see the photos for more detail.  The beadwork on the body is in excellent condition and I can see no beads missing.  The bars to the top of the purse and ring and chain are in excellent condition too.  Please note I have not opened the purse.
