Bags of Glamour was founded by Sarah Delves in 2004.
Antiques have been part of Sarah’s life from an early age and she has been in the antiques trade in some form from the early 1990’s. However, in 2004 Sarah saw a collection of incredibly sculptural handbags on the Antiques Roadshow that would change her direction completely! She founded Bags of Glamour in 2004 and hasn’t looked back!
Since the early days of Bags of Glamour Sarah has diversified further into antique, collectable and luxury bags and accessories from as early as the seventeenth century right through to modern pre-loved luxury handbags, vintage powder compacts and vintage and luxury accessories. In 2019 Sarah was approached by the Curator of a new bag exhibition at the V&A London to help source a number of items and also advise on some of the exhibits. Sarah is currently advising other Museum’s on her speciality.
Sarah lectures extensively on her subjects across the United Kingdom and exhibits at quality antiques fairs in the UK including Art & Antiques for Everyone at the Birmingham NEC three times a year and fairs in London and the South.
In 2019 Sarah was asked to be one of the celebrity speakers at Art and Antiques for Everyone at the NEC alongside Judith Miller from the Antiques Roadshow and in 2021 Sarah became an expert speaker for the V&A Museum, London as part of their Bags: Inside Out exhibition course Bags: Past, Present and Future.
